Start with the napkin laying flat and fold in the top, one side, the bottom and the other side. Tuck the last fold in under the first. Then proceed to extract each of the corners in turn to make the windmill.How to fold the Napkin Windmill
Ease of Folding: The windmill is one of the more complicated to fold and it takes time. This because each corner has to be folded with precision, the fourth corner has to inserted neatly, and then each corner has to extracted without disturbing the design.
Fabric: Moderately stiff napkin fabric is required because handing the tucks and folds in very soft fabric would make the folding difficult.
Precision: Accurate folding is critical because the final design benefits from exact symmetry.
