Start with the napkin laying flat. Fold each corner to the center. Fold each of the new corners to the center. Carefully, turn the napkin over, and again fold each corner to the center. Extract the "leaf" from beneath each corner in turn. Finally extract the corner between each "leaf". Place a bowl or decoration in the center.How to fold the Napkin Water Lily
Ease of Folding: The Water Lily is complicated to fold, requires multiple steps, and takes more time than many others.
Fabric: Moderately stiff napkin fabric is an advantage because it helps the leaves hold their shape.
Precision: A truly square napkin and accurate folding helps to achieve better symmetry in the final design.
Notes: This design is identical to the Artichoke with the addition of the final steps of extracting the corners.
